Cybersecurity to contribute one fifth of Esconet revenues by 2025

Cyber security is now a board topic as the breach incidents continue to increase in form, size and factor across the globe spread across industries. The requirements of CIOs and CSOs with respect to modern threat landscape and the technology advancement of security solutions has evolved and changed over the years, especially in the world of AI, ML and Gen-AI.

The key security technologies in demand in the market for 2023 and going forward in 2024 by India Inc. are Unified End Points Security, Container Security and IT/OT Security. We also see a great momentum continue for Security architectures like ZTNA, SASE, says Sivamani Sanganarayanan, CEO, Esconet.

Understanding their operations and grading the security needs based on the business goals, is the foremost need, says Sivamani. While Security is an on-going journey, it is important for CIO’s and CSO’s to choose a multi partner support system to achieve their goals, he adds. Esconet has been offering network security close to a decade and as a part of expansion, the company offers cyber security along with leading vendors like Palo Alto , Microsoft and Cisco. We felt the need from market for such solutions like Hybrid cloud , Multi-vendor cloud, on premises refresh opportunities that are driving this initiative, he informs.

Almost ten to fifteen percentage of the overall revenues will come from cyber security business in 2024. We expect almost one fifth of revenues from security in 2025 which reinforces the importance of this domain and our focused GTM on the same, as per Sivamani.

AI /ML integration in security will be the highlight in coming years as per industry trends and analysts reports. AI and ML will have more impact in security tech domains like Threat Detection and Prevention, APT Mitigation, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response and Forensics, User Authentication and Access control, Security Analytics and End point Security.

Key Focus on Cyber security

Esconet has a separate team for security domain to offer USPs and a well etched GTM for India market.

Security is broadly divided in to three sub domains, viz Technology (SI Business), Governance and Monitoring and Managing (SoC). “We operate in the first two spaces and for the third we work with external associates. Our USP has always been the deep domain knowledge. The GTM is to reach the customers with consultative approach and choose to offer specific outcome based solutions,” says Sivamani.

The key OEMs for security solutions that Esconet work includes Cisco, Palo Alto, Microsoft, Terafence (IoT Solutions) to name a few.

What are prime expectations for Esconet management being an implementation partner of tech and security OEMs? “In security domain, training and practice are the two mantras for successful implementation. Hence, we expect more initiatives from our security OEMs to help enhance the knowledge of the workforce which is very important and that should cost less to the organisations,” he says.
